I didn't get a good picture of it, but there was a discussion of "Green Eyed Monster" towards the end of the conference. It was supposed to be a live commentary, but Creation had some technical difficulties ... anyway, here are the comments:

  • Claudia: "Every day we get a call sheet, and I've gotten to the point where I say, 'Has anyone got a camera? Yes? Great, take a picture of this, and we can say that we shot the call sheet.'"
  • They say 'Waterloo' when things are really messed up. At that point, they throw away the schedule, and just make things work.
  • Claudia: "He [Ben] always talks about me saving his ass, I just spend all my time looking at it." Kemper: "And Ben spends all his time following the pony tail around."
  • The working title for "Green Eyed Monster" was "Das Budong".
  • Ben: "I'd show something to Claudia, and she'd say it's very nice …" Claudia: And I was thinking, okay, I'll just change it on set when he's in a good mood, somebody get him a Diet Coke
  • The scenes of moving through Talyn (Aeryn's visions) were done with small handheld digital cameras. Claudia: "I always get depressed when I see those little cameras, I think it's official, it's our last season, the network has dropped us, we're now shooting home videos."
  • Ben: They once tested a jet engine to use for a wind effect.
  • When they shot the night-vision firefight in "Liars, Guns, and Money", no-one could actually see anything except for Anthony.
  • David Kemper was attracted by the idea of Crichton being in close proximity to one PK he loves and another he hates, suspecting that something's going on between them.
  • Crichton's long walk down the corridor after seeing the chip was not in the script. That was something that Tony added.
  • Tony constantly sneaks people away for a quick shot to add to a previous shoot.
  • Because Ben gives the writers so much trouble, DK begged everyone to, one day, yell out "Who wrote this …" (insert word here)
  • When Claudia read the part in the script where Aeryn and Crais were having a good time on the chip, she was mad because Ben knew very well what she wouldn't do. She had an out, though. She went to Tilse and said "You know, this isn't supposed to be Aeryn, this is Talyn making it up, so you need to get another girl …"
  • Lani: … "Meanwhile I'm sitting back and thinking of England"
  • They missed the fact that the designer had added a big mirror at the head of the bed, so they ended up covering it with duct tape.
  • Claudia: "We have this thing called a closed set, where everyone who doesn't have to be there can go and take a break. It's amazing how many people have to be there. There's this sound guy watching the monitor, and someone comes up to him and says 'Dude, this is a mute shot!'"
  • Meanwhile, Lani's wife and child show up on the set. She didn't actually want to watch, and Claudia took her off to sit down, have a cup of tea, and chat.
  • DK wanted what Crichton did in Aeryn's body in OOTM to be Claudia's idea. When she unzipped her vest, she thought "What would Ben say?", and the first thing that came to her mind was "Ohh, Mama …"
  • "Tac 5", what they called the missile in "Green Eyed Monster", is a riff on "Take 5". The launcher was made to really fire, so everyone (except Ben and Claudia) were protected by plexiglass. Ben was a little perplexed by this situation … The launcher was too heavy for Claudia to lift.
  • Ben: (referring to "Meltdown") "That script has never been near my house, the rushes have never been near my house …"
